Explore the Mitsubishi Mirage at DELLA Mitsubishi

The Mitsubishi Mirage denotes a range of subcompact and compact hatchback and sedan options available to drivers for many years. The car has had many names throughout time, but it always comes with reliable engineering and respectable driving specs. The hatchback models are also efficient in terms of both gas and space. Despite its small outward appearance, the car is comfortable and adept at hauling cargo. There is a good reason these cars have remained on the market since their debut in 1978. Modern models, of course, sport more convenient features and safety technology. Still, they come from a long line of durable manufacturing.

Come to DELLA Mitsubishi to check out the Mitsubishi Mirage in person. We have options for both the sedan and hatchback variants. We look forward to helping you find the right fit for your life.

What's New In The 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage?

For the 2023, Mitsubishi engineers worked on making the most fuel-efficient version of the Mirage ever – and they achieved their task with overwhelming success. One big boost came from their switch to a continuously variable transmission. In the end, Mirage drivers will be happy with what they get inside and out.

History of the Mitsubishi Mirage

The Mitsubishi Mirage has a storied history. It debuted in 1978 as a three-door and five-door hatchback. The first generation was popular in Japanese and foreign markets because it was fuel-efficient, was spacious, and featured a fantastic transmission. In North America, the 1978 Mirage was dubbed the Dodge Colt and Plymouth Champ.

From 1983 onward, the Plymouth Champ took the name Colt as well. 1983 was also the debut of the second-gen Mirage. A station wagon variant hit the market, which was called the Lancer in America. The third generation in 1987 carried much over in terms of name and marketing, but the redesigned vehicle was more powerful and aerodynamic.

In 1991, the fourth-gen Mirage debuted, and it was called a Mitsubishi in America-the Mitsubishi Colt, a name that stuck with it through the fifth generation. The fifth-gen Mirage and Colt debuted in 1995 until Mirage production took a hiatus in 2003.

The sixth-gen debuted in 2012 and has been popular ever since. These are the modern Mirage and Mirage G4 models that drivers love for their superb values.
